Registration Is Open: 7/1/24-8/20/24

U4-U10 Season Start: Saturday 9/7
Dates of play: 9/7, 9/14, 9/21, 9/28, 10/5, 10/19, 10/26, 11/2.

U4, U6 and U8 typically play between 8 and 12 on Saturday mornings at Reeds Ferry Elementary School.  

U10 typically plays on Saturdays at Reeds Ferry Elementary School

U12-U18 Season Start: Saturday 9/14

U12, U15, and U18 play in an intertown league with surrounding towns.  https://www.snhrecsoccer.org/ can be used to find out more information about the league.  SNHREC league starts 9/14/24

The  Merrimack Youth Soccer League (MYA) is a recreational, non-profit,  volunteer organization that teaches basic soccer skills to children under 4  to 18 years old.  

MYA  is open to all children within the appropriate age group, regardless of  previous soccer experience or skill level.  It operates on the  principles of sportsmanship, fair play, adherence to the rules of  soccer, and healthy competition.

What is...Recreational Soccer?
Recreational  soccer is that soccer program that is primarily devoted to the  enjoyment and development of soccer players without the emphasis on  travel or high-level competition. The purpose of recreational soccer is  to provide an opportunity for the participants to have fun, learn the  sport and develop life skills including a lifelong love of the game.

Recreational Player? A player who is randomly assigned to a team without regard to his/her abilities and skills.

Recreational Team?Teams formed randomly to play soccer.

Goals of Merrimack Recreational Soccer:

Foster a positive sporting experience for players with a wide range of experience and skills at all levels

Institute basic soccer skills through dynamic practice sessions, guided by volunteer coaches.

Have fun!

You can coach!  We NEED coaching volunteers to help with the program. Worried  you don't have enough "soccer know-how" to help as a volunteer coach?  Don't be! We will provide you the tools to maximize the benefit to our  players.  

U4 Age Group

• This age group will be 30-40 minutes long.
• No games vs. other teams.  Small sided games and drills by the coaches only.

U6 Age Group

• This age group will last an hour.
• 30 minutes of small sided games and drills with their coach.
• Team will be split up into two games vs. another team. 

U8 Age Group

• This age group will last an hour.
• 5 minute warm up.
• 45-50 minute game.
• One trainer session a week.

U10 Age group

• 60 minute game
• Practice and/or trainer session during the week.

U12 Age group

• 70 minute game
• Practice and/or trainer session during the week.

U15 Age group

• 80 minute game
• Practice and/or trainer session during the week.

U18 Age group

• 90 minute game
• Practice and/or trainer session during the week.

**U10 and U12 - Play in an inter-town league.  Teams could be playing teams from Amherst, Hollis-Brookline, Derry, Windham, Londonderry, Chester, Hampstead or Salem. 

**U15 and U18 - play in an inter-town league. And could be playing teams from from Hollis, Londonderry, Derry, Windham, and Hampstead.
